The Children’s Peace Garden offers full day and half day summer camps. The half day summer camps are appropriate for 4 - 6 year olds. The full day summer camp is appropriate for 6-10 year olds. The 2012 summer schedule is as follows.

Sprouts Half Day Summer Camp

Sprouts Summer Camp is designed for 4-6 year olds. Camp is held at the Children’s Peace Garden Monday – Friday from 9am-12pm. The cost is $160 per week per child.

Children's Peace GardenJune 20 – 24 Art in the Garden
Spend five creative days painting with vegetables, creating natural dyes and making candles from wax from the bee hives. We’ll also write poetry, dance, make musical instruments and sing in the garden. We will display our art in the garden at the end of the week for an art show for family and friends to attend!

July 25 - 29 Bugs, Butterflies and Bees
Bugs, Butterflies and Bees – Oh my! Spend five fun-filled days exploring the world of bugs, butterflies and bees in the garden. We’ll build habitats and homes for insects, meet our bees and taste their honey, explore the amazing world of pollination through relay races, unique art projects and interactive gardening
games.


Gardening Gurus Full Day Summer Camp

Garden Gurus Summer Camp is designed for 6-10 year olds. Camp is held at the Children’s Peace Garden Monday – Friday from 9am-3pm. The cost is $260 per week per child.

What to Bring Each Day to Children’s Peace Garden Summer Camp:
Please label all items with your child’s name!

  • Water Bottle
  • Lunch and snack with non-perishable food items
  • Sunscreen
  • Sun Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Closed toed shoes
  • Waterproof rain jacket (even on sunny days)
  • Warm layers (even on warm days)

    Payment for Summer Camp
    Payment is due at time of registration.
    The cost of half day summer camp is $160 for each five day session of the summer day camp. The cost of full day summer camp is $260 for each five day session of the summer day camp.

Refund Policy
14+ days before class start date: 75% refund
7-13 days before class start date: 50% refund
3-6 days before class start date: 25% refund
0-3 days before class start date: No refund

Scholarships
Limited scholarship money is available to help children in need attend camp. Contact Annie for the scholarship form and to register over the phone. 303-443-9953.

Drop Off/Pick Up Policy
Drop off begins at 8:50am and children must be picked up by 12:10 for half day camp, and 3:10pm for full day camp to avoid late fees. If you pick up your child after these times, there is a $20 late fee.

Late Arrival/Absences
If you are going to be late dropping off your child, or your child is not going to be able to attend a day of summer camp, please call Program Director, Annie Sweeney’s cell phone. This number will be given to you on the first day of camp.

Release of Children
Children will only be released to parents and/or guardians unless additional parties are indicated on the Parent/Guardian Release Form. Children may walk, bike or take the bus only if this form has been filled out and signed by a parent and/or guardian.  Please either send in this form before camp or bring to the first day of camp.

Directions:
The Children’s Peace Garden is located at 1630 Hawthorn in Boulder, CO. Please park on Hawthorn near the Greenhouse and walk into the garden site. The Children’s Peace Garden is located on the southeast portion of the property. It is the garden with the brightly painted fence and bean pole teepees. Map to Garden.
