WELCOME Environmental Education Instructor ¡Cultiva's! New CSA We are excited to announce that we will be starting a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) in 2012 with our Cultiva Youth Project! If you sign up before January 31 you will receive a $15 coupon that can be used at our plant sale or towards tuition for our Children's Peace Garden Summer Camps. When you join our CSA, you will get a "share" of our farm. Each week, for 20 weeks, you will pick up fresh, local, certified organic produce. Participating in the Cultiva CSA is a unique opportunity to know your (budding) farmers, and to directly support local teenagers in their quests to gain invaluable job and life skills. Cultiva is a youth-run, organic market garden in Boulder. Each summer, we employ 50 teenagers with diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Cultiva participants come together each summer to work in the fields and greenhouses, learn new skills, gain confidence, make friends, and grow as individuals and as a community. CSA Shares 20 weeks - June 6- Oct 17, 2012 $16 per week for partial share (1-2 people) = $320 $27 per week for full share (3-4 people) = $540 For more information contact Vanessa Keeley at vanessa@growinggardens.org 1% For The Planet Growing Gardens is now a member of 1% For The Planet, a non-profit which provides a convenient way for corporations to donate to us. Since 2002, 1% For The Planet has inspired members of the business community to contribute 1% of sales to environmental groups around the world. In return, this growing alliance of companies is given the opportunity not only to see their self-worth rise, but their net worth climb as well. Visit the 1% For the Planet's website. Growing Gardens has a new brochure! Download
