We’ve expanded our School Days Off program and are hosting a variety of days at the farm for your children to enjoy the seasons on the farm when they aren’t in school! Each day is different, but all participants will enjoy making healthy snacks from the garden, exploration through art and games, and seasonal changes on the farm. These programs are open to children ages 5-11.

Spring Classes

Spring Break on the Farm - March 25 - March 29th, M-F, 8:30am-3:30pm  |  Cost is $80 per day or $320 for the week

It’s springtime! Which means our garden is waking up, insects are buzzing, worms are wriggling, and plants are sprouting! Come spend the week with us while we explore the garden from beneath the soil to the birds in the sky. Every day at the garden includes fun games, art and making tasty garden snacks.

Pollination Bounty - September 16th, 8:30am-3:30pm  |  Cost is $80

We all love the delicious bounty of fall fruits and veggies! Come learn about how pollinators help all of our favorite foods from the garden grow! We’ll explore the garden and visit our very own honey bee hives to see pollinators and plants working together to make our garden thrive! We’ll experience all the garden has to offer this time of year through site, sound, feel and taste! Every day at the garden includes fun games, art and making tasty garden snacks.

Field to Fork Cooking Class - September 16th, 8:30am-12:30pm   |    Cost is $65

Come join us for a garden-to-table experience! We’ll learn about what it takes to grow all the delicious fruits and vegetables in our garden and how to turn them into a fresh feast. We’ll start with hands on garden work and make our way to the kitchen to learn some cooking basics. Together we’ll enjoy the delicious, nutritious savory and sweet garden treats we make.

Boo-tiful Fall Garden Fun - October 14th, 8:30am-3:30pm  |  Cost is $80

It’s time for pumpkins and goblins! We’ll embrace the change of seasons by searching the garden for insects and other creepy, crawly friends to learn about how they make the most of fall. We’ll work together to harvest the last of our garden bounty and turn it into fun fall treats and eats. It will be a creepy, crawly, delicious day in the garden!

Field to Fork Cooking Class - October 14th, 8:30am-12:30pm   |  Cost: $65

Winter is coming! It’s time to bring in the last of our garden goodness and cook up something delicious. Join us for a day filled with harvesting, cooking, and tasting! We’ll learn kitchen basics and use fall flavors to inspire our recipes. Every day at the garden includes fun games, art and making tasty garden snacks.

Celebrate Seasonal Transitions! - November 11th, 8:30am-3:30pm  |  Cost is $80

November begins a season of rest and rejuvenation in the Children’s Peace Garden. During this day off in the garden, we’ll harvest roots and hearty greens for making tasty homemade garden snacks and investigate how animals and insects are preparing for the winter to come. Come dressed for the weather because no matter the weather, adventure awaits in the garden and warmth awaits in the barn.

Fall Garden Treasures - November 25th, 8:30am-3:30pm  |  Cost is $80

The garden gives us so much to be thankful for. Spend the day with us searching for fall garden treasures! The garden environment will inspire art, handcrafted projects, and warm fall treats.

Gifts from the Garden - November 26th, 8:30am-3:30pm  |  Cost is $80

Join us in exploring the amazing gifts of the garden. Working together we’ll enjoy the stillness of the season to create gifts for ourselves and others. We’ll explore the art of hand dipped candles, salves and tinctures and tasty, cozy garden-based recipes.
